Rapids Youth Soccer welcomes Anthony Presnell as the new College Placement Director. This position will assist families in finding the best fit for their child to attend college. CRYSC athletes will have access to resources helping them navigate the difficult college recruiting process and find a school.
The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club presents the Next Wave Coach Academy. Through this program, the club engages the “next wave” of women coaches by creating an environment where women are encouraged to coach and provided a pathway tailored to each individual.
Rapids Youth Soccer is excited to introduce the newest member of our Staff, David Garcia. David grew up in Rochester New York attending Utica College to study business administration and play college soccer. In 2013, David moved to Spain to pursue his UEFA ‘A’ and ‘B’ coaching licenses. During his time there, Coach Garcia learned invaluable lessons that he is now bringing to the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club.
Too often in sports, players are told that talent is ascribed and unteachable. Our athletes need to be told that growth is always attainable with drive, focused-practice, and effort. The differences between fixed and growth mindsets are crucial in the development of skills on and off the field. As one club, united under the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club name, you and all our valued members will have access to a stronger club better positioned to serve our players from three-year-olds all the way to the Colorado Rapids professional Major League Soccer team.
Rapids Youth Soccer is excited to introduce the newest member of our Staff and 9U-10U Select Program Director, Jeb Brovsky. Jeb is a Colorado native, playing pro soccer for NYCFC, Montral Impact, Minnesota United, and Stromsgodset IF. After his career was ended by injury, Jeb has been heavily involved in the game in outreach efforts through the Homeless World Cup and Peace Pandemic.
This year has already seen tournaments throughout the nation with coaches using these trips to help our players better understand the club’s core values. Coaches have been hosting club culture nights where players from different age groups and teams gather to highlight the importance of a united vision.
