Financial Aid Overview

Financial Aid awards are typically for families with less than $80,000 in annual income and can cover 10-50% of registration fees. The financial aid process reviews a family’s annual income based on their 1040 form and the number of dependents to determine the amount of financial aid available. In addition to the Club scholarship, some players may be eligible for invitation-only scholarships. We currently offer two types of invitation-only scholarships. The Zarlengo scholarship is for Latino players who demonstrate a commitment to soccer and academics. The Dr. Bob scholarship is for elite-level players only. If you qualify, we will send you an additional application form.

Not all applicants will receive financial aid. We do not provide financial support towards tournament fees, travel, uniforms, or other team expenses. We also do not accept late applications.

If you are offered Financial Aid, we cannot activate the award unless you complete a payment plan information form. If this form is not turned in by the stated deadline, you risk losing the Financial Aid offer.

CRYSC Scholarships

Club Scholarship

Description:
Anyone interested in receiving Financial Aid must first apply for the Club Scholarship. The CRYSC Club Scholarship is the most common type of Financial Aid award for Rapids Youth Soccer players. The award provides financial support to qualifying families in the form of reduced registration fees. The criteria that we consider for this scholarship is the income level and the number of dependents.

Interested in a CRYSC Scholarship?
In order to be considered for a CRYSC Club Scholarship, you need to fill out the online application and submit your 1040 tax return from the most recent tax year. We will consider the family’s gross income and the number of dependents to determine what percentage of the player’s registration fees we can support. All players, regardless of age or playing level, are eligible to apply.

CRYSC Club Scholarship Benefits
Should you be selected to receive a CRYSC Club scholarship, you will receive anywhere between 10%-50% reduction on your registration fees. The amount will be automatically deducted from your player’s account, and you will have the option of creating a payment plan to finish paying the rest of the registration fee.

Scholarship Expectations
All players receiving a CRYSC Club Scholarship are expected to submit a payment plan information form in order to officially accept their CRYSC Club Scholarship. This will allow our administration team to create a payment plan for the remainder of the registration fees. We also expect each family receiving a scholarship to volunteer at least 3 hours of their time throughout the course of the year at different club events such as tournaments and fundraisers.
