Welcome Brian Sheehan to Rapids Youth Soccer
Rapids Youth Soccer is excited to introduce the newest member of our Staff, Brian Sheehan. Brian is a Denver native who played youth soccer in the Denver area for years prior to play for the University of Notre Dame. Coach Sheehan has worked as a teacher, assistant principal, and coach for over a decade.
Fall Footie Fest | OCTOBER
October 6th, 2024 | Boys & Girls 6U to 12U | The Fall Footie Fest is here to bring the recreational youth soccer community together this Fall in 2024! Join us for this one-day, all-for-fun recreational event taking place on Sunday, October 6th, 2024. The Fall Footie Fest grew to its largest-ever participation with 70 teams joining us in 2023. This event is a unique, community-focused event open to recreational boys’ and girls’ teams, ages 6U-12U. Competitive teams are not eligible for this event.

Rapids Youth Soccer is excited to introduce the newest member of our Staff and 15U-19U Boys South Director of Coaching, Peter May. Peter is a Kentucky native, playing youth soccer for United 1996 FC where he won 3 state-cup championships. Peter went on to captain Southern Indiana University Evansville and coach for his alma mater and Indiana Fire.
Trail Winds Park
Trail Winds Park is located in Thornton and provides access to two full-sized synthetic turf fields and four full-sized grass fields. The park is used for both practices and games for teams of all ages and ability levels. Fields are often segmented into smaller field sizes to accommodate our younger players.

Mitchell Gulch Park is located the east side of Castle Rock in the Gateway Mesa community. The park has a grass field and is often used just for practices for 10U and younger teams.

Rhyolite Park is located in the southeast corner of Castle Rock in the Crystal Valley neighborhood. The park hosts one full-sized synthetic turf field and is broken into four smaller 7v7 fields as necessary. The park is used for practices and games.

Douglas County Fairgrounds (DCF) is in the heart of downtown Castle Rock. A location for Rapids Castle Rock competitive teams to train, DCF hosts three full-sized synthetic turf fields and one smaller grass field with 3v3 and 5v5 fields.
