U13-U19 Girls Director of Coaching
Ash Hopkins oversees the soccer side of the U13 – U19 girls divisions providing guidance on player placement, education, and expertise.
This is an exciting time to be with the Rapids organization with the clubs potential being unlimited. The clubs is on the leading edge of youth soccer development with us implementing an evolving curriculum and teaching philosophies. As a director and coach this pushes you to grow and improve daily. I’m excited about the future of the Rapids Girls Program and the changing landscape of girls’ soccer in the US.
I became a member of the Rapid’s staff in 2012, I started as the U11-14 Girls Program director until recently becoming the Girls Director of Coaching.
Prior to the Rapids, I had been a full-time staff member with Carmel United Soccer Club in Indiana, a nationally ranked girls program. During my time I coached U11-18 girl’s teams and served as the Junior Girls Director. Within my roles I played an important role with Junior ECNL and developing players for collegiate soccer. He was an ID2 Scout and worked with Indiana ODP. I also worked as a graduate assistant for the University of Indianapolis. I have a USSF National B License.
I attended the University of Indianapolis and was a collegiate soccer player for four years. I continued to play after college for the Indiana Blast in the PDL. I graduated with a B.A.’s in History and Sports Administration. I live with his wife Jess in the Denver area.
