U13-U14 Girls Director of Coaching

Biography

Daniel Nestor has been a coach with Rapids Youth Soccer for years, and was recently recognized as the Colorado Soccer Association Coach of the Year. Daniel will serve as the U13-U14 Girls Director of Coaching.

This is an exciting time to be involved with the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, an organization that is led with dedicated leadership and a clear vision across all levels of programming. I am looking forward to continued development of the Rapids Girls Program and working with a professional staff to elevate the program to nationally respected and recognized levels.

From his early years with Colorado Fusion through the club’s transition to its current partnership with the professional club, Daniel has committed seven years of dedication to the development of female soccer players in Rapids Youth Soccer.  Daniel has worked with players from 8 to 17 years old and currently serves as the head coach for the 2007G Select, 2006G Select and 2000G Select teams. In the Fall of 2016, Daniel led the 2000G Select team to a first place finish in the Colorado State Presidents Cup for the 2017 U.S. Youth National Presidents Cup Competition.

Daniel previously worked in education for Denver Public Schools before transitioning to a full-time role in soccer. Daniel holds a U.S.S.F. “B” License and a B.A. in Social Science from Regis University. In his new role, Daniel will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of all U13 and U14 Competitive Girls teams, including parent education, coach education, player development and curriculum implementation.
