Winter I-II 2024-25 – Goalkeeper Camps

As the most specific position in the sport, one could say that a Goalkeeper is the most important player in soccer!

Specialized training is the best way to develop as a Goalkeeper, which is why our camps focus on skills such as:

  • Footwork and handling
  • Shot stopping and shot handling
  • 1v1s and breakaways
  • Reactions/reflexes
  • Crosses and highballs
  • Distribution
  • Starting and set positions
  • Goalkeeper-specific fitness
  • Mental aspects of a goalkeeper

Our sessions will mirror the CRYSC seasonal Goalkeeping Curriculum, developed and directed by CRYSC Goalkeeping Director and Rapids MLS Goalkeeping Coach Chris Sharpe, in order to provide further skill development for goalkeepers from both inside and outside of CRYSC.

Capacity: Each camp will create a small group training setting to maximize individual attention and repetition on the ball. Camp rosters will be capped in order to ensure an optimal player-to-coach ratio.
