Truth be told, I typically have some knee-jerk reactions to a Gala Dinner invitation. Mostly, I start to wonder how long it’s been since my suit was dry-cleaned. Then I get stressed about whether I’ll put enough money in those little envelopes that stare ever-so-longingly at me as I listen to participants tell their stories.
With all due respect to the tried-and-true fundraising model, I’m glad to say that the Burgundy Bash is flipping the old Gala Dinner on its stuffy head. The Burgundy Bash is taking the Gala Dinner idea and chucking it off into oblivion where it belongs, probably somewhere that smells like an old attic.
Ah, the old Gala Dinner. I don’t mean to be so harsh. You’ve been a noble soldier.
Let’s get this straight. The Burgundy Bash is not a Gala Dinner. The cause is still noble and the fundraising still incredibly important, but can we all agree that our Bash won’t be stiff and will be at least twice as fun as the gala dinner status quo?
If you’ve never been to the Stanley Marketplace, you are missing out on one of the coolest, most unique spots in all of Colorado, and now is your chance to check it out. The key thing is that you need to get some tickets, ASAP. Trust me, it will be a night to remember. The cause is real, the cause is important, and the cause is only possible because of support from people like you.
