In 2014, the Rapid City Youth Soccer League and the Rushmore Soccer Club merged and partnered with the Colorado Rapids to become the Black Hills Rapids Soccer Club. In doing so we have combined resources and player pools from the two clubs and are working alongside the Colorado Rapids to provide a pathway for every soccer player in the community. Youth Soccer players in the West River area now have the ability to reach their individual goals whether its playing in our recreational program of 1,200-1,500 players all the way to getting tryout opportunities with the Colorado Rapids Development Academy (CO Rapids DA) and the Elite Clubs National League teams (ECNL) (boys and girls).
The Black Hills Rapids Soccer Club’s competitive teams all use a very innovative player-centered training curriculum that is based on the 4 pillars of soccer (technical, tactical, physical, mental). At the same time, we place a massive amount of focus on our professional coaches through regular coaching development, education, and licensing courses.
We are proud to be an affiliate partner with the Colorado Rapids through the Rapids Adidas Alliance.
