We know how important it is for our young players to get lots of touches on the ball! This program is designed to build technical proficiency, give players a decision making framework consistent with the CRYSC player development plan, and to help them apply their skills and knowledge effectively in fun small sided games. At the end of the day, we want brave players willing to take risks. The Rapids Development Centers give them the confidence to do so in the presence of other like-minded peers who love soccer.
RDC players will frequently have a ball at their feet. Our staff coaches work with your player to improve a variety of soccer skills, monitor their progress, and make recommendations for future Rapids programming. Changing direction with the ball and dynamic movements to beat defenders are staples of this camp (i.e. scissors, step over, cuts, etc.). Coaches will also have time to work with players on their individual decision making during small sided games. Players will be encouraged to use their new skills in a game setting, because it’s not just about learning new moves, it’s about learning when to use them and why!
Feel free to reach out to Charlie Bacha ([email protected]) or Corbin Siklosi ([email protected]) should you have any more questions!
