The Colorado Rapids Women’s team has been on an extraordinary journey over the past two years. With an unwavering commitment to style, remarkable teamwork, and sheer talent, they have raised the bar and left an indelible mark on the national stage.

In 2022, the Colorado Rapids Women demonstrated their prowess on the field, capturing the hearts of fans and making a statement in the WPSL by repeating as Mountain Conference champions, winning the Central Region, and eventually falling in the WPSL National Championship.

The momentum carried into 2023, where the Colorado Rapids Women continued to make national waves by starting the season as #2 in the WPSL National Power Rankings and #1 in the WPSL Central Region Power Rankings. The recognition has been well deserved as the Rapids Women sit atop the Rockies Division undefeated with 3 wins and 0 losses, and have only allowed 1 goal so far in league play. Heading into the season’s third week, the Colorado Rapids Women are #1 in the WPSL National Power Rankings and #1 in the WPSL Central Region Power Rankings.

The team’s success has also led to individual accolades, with Amy Smith (Rapids 06 ECNL, LSU commit) having a breakthrough performance against Colorado Pride, scoring 4 goals in 20 minutes. The performance garnered her WPSL Central Region Player of the Week honors and a spot in the WPSL Top 5 national goals of the week.

The Rapids Women continue their title defense on June 4 with a home game at Regis University against Denver Indios FC. Cheer on the Rapids in person at Regis University or streamed for free online by clicking here!
