The residential camp experience is designed to build skills and understanding of the game in an inclusive and safe learning environment!
Rapids Elite Residential Summer Camps is a week-long opportunity for players to experience life as a Student Athlete at the Rapids Elite Performance Center at Regis University. This camp provides players a higher level environment of competition, coaching and overall development by utilizing outdoor and indoor field spaces, residency in the student dorms, classroom spaces and more. With these resources, the Elite Staff works to provide an opportunity to teach the game on a holistic level. The Rapids Elite Residential Camp experience is designed to develop soccer skills and life skills by creating an environment centered on fun, enjoyment, and safety.
This residential camp elevates the engagement, connection, and development of our players as we incorporate additional key components like ‘Team-building and Culture’, ‘Futsal’, and ‘Young Leadership’ on and off the field.
Residential programming is split into 3 sections, with each focusing on a particular need within the elite player development spectrum:
- Planning: The understanding of the preparation required across the spectrum of player development topics that sets the player up for success in the execution phase
- Execution: The physical implementation and execution of the skills developed in the planning phase.
- Reflection: The time we need to reflect upon the process that ‘I as a player’ have gone through, and the outcome of my actions… ‘Has my understanding allowed me to execute, and how did my execution go?’
This camp is offered at:
Regis University, Regis Boulevard, Denver, CO, USA See on map
These overarching pillars of Elite Camps allow our Elite staff to repeat a process that we believe has a significant impact on the learning and development of players. Utilizing the full quality of the Regis University Campus and the additional time that this residential program creates, we will seek to maximize the attendees’ understanding, relative to their age, in an insightful, safe, and engaging manner.
Delivered by Elite Department Coaches and Staff, additional support will be provided by SafeSport accredited ‘parent chaperones’ specifically aimed at providing the attendees with understanding and comfortable surroundings during the overnight stays. (Should you be interested in providing this service during the week please indicate during registration).
Additionally, this camp is available for players to attend without the overnight component. Players are welcome to attend for the non-overnight option and be picked up after the evening session on a daily basis.
