CRYSC + United Futsal + US Futsal

In October 2020, Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club partnered with United Futsal and US Futsal, launching Colorado’s most recognized elite futsal program. This partnership introduced Colorado’s soccer talent to the fast-paced world of futsal, previously unrepresented in the Rocky Mountain region. Today, our futsal players and teams compete not only across the nation but even across the world.

CRYSC serves over 300 elite futsal players annually in its one-of-a-kind pathway here in Colorado. With exclusive partnerships with United Futsal and U.S. Futsal, CRYSC competes at the highest levels of youth futsal in the nation.

In partnership with United Futsal and U.S. Fusal, along with our 25,000-square-foot indoor futsal facility with the only two indoor full-sized futsal courts in Colorado, CRYSC players are set up to develop as some of the best youth futsal players and teams in the nation.

The Elite Futsal Academy (EFA) is our premier futsal training platform designed to identify, develop, and elevate top players through a highly curated and competitive environment. Players are selected through prior participation, formal tryouts, or evaluation sessions.

Once selected, players are placed into age- and skill-appropriate training pools and will train once weekly on either Fridays or Sundays for 10 months. In addition to weekly training, players will have opportunities to compete in local and national tournaments, based on interest, performance, and availability.

The EFA curriculum follows a structured, progressive methodology with a focus on technical excellence, tactical awareness, and decision-making. Monthly in-house scrimmages are integrated into the regular schedule to simulate match scenarios and provide players the opportunity to apply EFA’s game model in a controlled, competitive setting.

The EFA is divided into three core programs: EFA Juniors (2019-2017), EFA Futures (2016-2012), and EFA High School (2011-2008).

      Travel Expectations

All players selected and accepting a spot on our EFA teams are expected to travel and attend as many of their squad’s events throughout the year as possible.

Typically, families arrange their own airfare, hotels, and ground transportation. United Futsal and US Futsal may provide a block of rooms at a specific hotel at a discounted price. Families are encouraged, but not required, to stay at the hotel designated by these governing entities.

For all futsal teams, a high level of commitment is required, given the nature of the pathway. As soon as event schedules are released, our staff will add them to PlayMetrics and collect team attendance for each event.

Players/Families are responsible to cover the costs for:

Tournament entry, coaches’ airfare, coaches’ hotels, ground transportation, gas, and per diems. These costs are covered by each player’s event fees which can range from $200-$350 per player, which is in addition to the annual training fee.
