Rapids Youth Soccer invites all players born from 2011-2016 to attend our Summer Goalkeeper Camp run by the Colorado Rapids North Region Goalkeeping Director and our dedicated goalkeeping coaching staff. The sessions will mirror the seasonal Goalkeeping Curriculum, developed and directed by Goalkeeping Director and Rapids MLS Goalkeeping Coach Chris Sharpe, in order to provide further skill development for goalkeepers from both inside and outside of CRYSC. Our Goalkeeper Camp is designed to keep players sharp in preparation for the upcoming spring season.
In our Goalkeeper Camp sessions, players will work on the following skills:
- Footwork and handling
- Shot stopping and shot handling
- 1v1s and breakaways
- Reactions/reflexes
- Crosses and highballs
- Distribution
- Starting and set positions
- Goalkeeper-specific fitness
- Mental aspects of a goalkeeper

Registration will close 1 week before camp starts or one all spots are filled.
