U.S. Soccer Foundation

The Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club is proud to partner with the U.S. Soccer Foundation to bring the Soccer for Success program to underserved communities in Denver and Greeley. Through this initiative, our Outreach Program leverages soccer as a powerful tool to transform children’s lives, helping them reach their full potential and lead healthier, more active lives. By addressing the needs of children in these communities—where access to recreational facilities is limited, physical activity is low, and mentoring is scarce—the Soccer for Success program provides a vital support system for youth development.

Our impact goes beyond the field. With more than 700,000 children engaged in evidence-based programs and over 600 mini-pitches opened to provide safe play spaces, the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s outreach shows that soccer can be a positive force for change. Our goal is to reach 1 million children and create 1,000 mini-pitches nationwide by 2026. Through the guidance of caring coach-mentors and accessible, secure facilities, Soccer for Success nurtures essential physical, social, and emotional skills, enabling children to stay in school, build confidence, and feel safer in their communities. For these children, soccer is more than just a game—it’s a foundation for growth and success.
