This time of year can be so stressful with player placement (tryouts), but adding in the age group changes makes the transition a bit different. Rapids Youth Soccer is not the only club managing these changes- all clubs are working through the same challenges. We hope you take a moment to review this document, get registered for player placement by May 20th, and get a really good understanding of who Rapids Youth Soccer is, what they provide, and how we are working to improve soccer in Colorado.

Who Should Attend Tryouts

Not all returning Rapids Youth Soccer players need to attend tryouts. It is our commitment to provide the state’s best ongoing, year-long, player evaluation process at the competitive level, which is a full-year process while your child participates with Rapids Youth Soccer. This reduces a player’s stress and increases accuracy in the player placement process. Additionally, we’ve made a commitment to the kids in Rapids Youth Soccer first and foremost and we are committed to providing spots to our homegrown players before offering any spot up to a player coming in from outside the club.

Please review page 42 (girls) and page 44 (boys) of the document above for a detailed visual explanation of who needs to attend and why.

Recruiting and Retaining Top Quality Coaches

Rapids Youth Soccer hires some of the nation’s top coaches for our competitive program and through our commitment to quality, consistency, and excellence, Rapids Youth Soccer provides a compensation to our competitive coaches that exceeds all other clubs in Colorado. And it is our dedication to our players that the experience and education they receive is beyond what they would receive elsewhere.

CRYSC All-In Fee Approach

Outside competitive uniforms, Rapids competitive fees include almost everything for the entire year, contrary to many other clubs in Colorado. Rapids Youth registration fees cover coach fees, tournament fees, and some travel for our top divisions. When all is said and done, Rapids Youth Soccer fees can be lower than other nearby clubs.

Understanding Offer Letters

Offer letters are something unique to Rapids Youth Soccer, something we believe will help communicate quickly and efficiently our decisions regarding player placement.
Please see page 48 for a better understanding of Offer Letters.
