Posted by: Kincaid Schmidt | Zone 1 Technical Director
Rapids Youth Soccer is excited to introduce the newest member of our Staff and 9U-10U Select Program Director, Jeb Brovsky. Jeb is a Colorado native, playing youth soccer for the Colorado Rush Nike team and winning 9-straight State Cup titles from 1999 to 2007.
Jeb went on to play four years at the University of Notre Dame where he graduated with two degrees in Business Management and International Peace Studies. After his Senior season with the Irish, Jeb was picked 19th overall in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by the Vancouver Whitecaps. He continued his professional career playing for the Montreal Impact, New York City FC, Stromsgodset IF (Norwegian Tippeligaen) and Minnesota United FC.
After a career-ending injury in 2016, Jeb has coached at the youth, high school and collegiate levels. He was an Assistant Coach for the University of St. Thomas Men’s program this past Fall, ending in an Elite 8 defeat in the DIII NCAA Tournament. Jeb also coached the U10 Academy, U14 Girls and ran technical, functional and individual sessions for youth, collegiate and professional players in Woodbury, MN.
In 2010, Jeb founded a nonprofit called Peace Pandemic and ran international soccer camps for underprivileged youth focused on nonviolence towards women, empowerment of young girls and developing more responsible generations of boys/men. He currently writes content and hosts a podcast on his website, www.generationfooty.com which provides detailed, actionable tips and advice for players, coaches, and fans of the Beautiful Game.
Jeb’s experience, passion, and commitment to youth development make him an ideal fit for the role of 9U-10U Select Program Director. His attention to detail and constant desire to improve match seamlessly with the culture CRYSC embodies. We are proud to have Jeb representing Burgundy.
Keep an eye out for Jeb’s work to be featured on our blog and social media with new content coming each week from Rapids Youth Soccer.
