Congrats to Sophia Ring on winning our August 2025 UCHealth Player of the Month award!

Sophia is a center back for our Rapids 10G DPL team, known for her dedication to her team and ability to anchor on defense. This summer, Sophia’s on-the-field performance at DPL Nationals was impressive. The squad went 2-0-2 and only conceded one goal in the entire competition with her performance in the backfield. Although the squad narrowly missed out on the national final, Sophia was named DPL Nationals MVP. According to her coaches, Sophia is a natural leader, and her teammates consistently lean on her in times of need.
Off the field, Sophia volunteers planting trees for the Bureau of Land Management and volunteers at a farm in Parker, feeding animals and cleaning stalls.
This September, Sophia will be presented with a plaque and a gift card to acknowledge her achievements. We met with Sophia to learn a bit more about her. Check out the full interview below!
