The summer months can typically be an off-season for players, but for coaches, we use this time to continue to learn and grow in our own craft. CRYSC used the summer months of June and July to connect with full-time staff and part-time/volunteer coaches through both formal educational licensing through U.S. Soccer and in-house coach development.

This summer marked the inaugural season for the CRYSC U23 men’s team, which saw over 60 players participate in the program. Of these, fifteen are currently playing for CRYSC, while the rest include college players and alumni.

A special season for the Colorado Storm Women came to a close this July in the USL-W League National Finals. Congratulations to the Storm on an unbelievable year and the 27 CRYSC players, alumnae, and staff who helped bring home the 2024 Mountain Division and Western Conference titles, three playoff wins, and a league finals appearance.

Under the direction of Next Wave ally Jeff Oleck, Director of International Partnerships, the club has created space for three all-girls trips (U12G in 2023, U14G in 2023, and U12G in 2024) over the last year. In addition, seven out of the twelve staff members on these trips have been women. These trips show the leverage of our club resources to intentionally create space for young girls to travel, compete, and connect with other players and coaches from different regions.
